Managing a High Risk Pregnancy

Evergreen’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine Program specializes in the disgnosis and treatment of pregnancy complications – care that now includes higher-resolution ultrasound and safer, less-invasive prenatal testing.

Evergreen is also one of the few hospitals in the United States that performs fetoscopic laser photocoagulation for treatment of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome.

If your pregnancy falls into one of the high-risk categories, your care provider may refer you to the Maternal-Fetal Medicine perinatologists for help managing your pregnancy.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine provides:

• Genetic counseling
• Antepartum fetal surveillance
• Assistance in managing diabetes, preterm labor, hypertension and multiple gestation

In particularly complicated pregnancies or when very close pregnancy supervision is required, Maternal-Fetal Medicine can provide complete obstetrical care.
