Our entire staff is committed to making sure your birth experience is a beautiful beginning. It begins with your personal birth plan, which notes your preferences for virtually every aspect of your birth and hospital stay. Our staff will make every effort to fulfill your expectations.
Your personal labor nurse will be with you during all stages of labor and delivery, helping you through contractions and making you as comfortable as possible. If you choose, family and friends can also be with you to share in this special time, even if you require a cesarean birth.
Once your baby has arrived, you'll want to spend time cuddling, touching and getting to know each other. The first hours after baby's birth are magical - at this time, babies are more alert, responsive and ready to feed than they will be for the next several hours. This is an optimal opportunity to begin nursing your baby. Your nurse will be available to help you if you need it.
Our suites are designed for your baby to room with you, so you'll become familiar with your baby's own individual rhythms. Your nurses are only a call away, and can offer expert assistance or advice at any moment. Daily classes teach baby care basics, and nurses provide one-on-one support through bathing and diaper changes. Breastfeeding assistance is available 24-hours a day by board-certified lactation consultants.
