Families are important to our patients' recovery, and we encourage you to visit with your loved one. From the time you drive into our parking structures – free of charge – to the time you spend at the patient’s bed side, it is our goal to provide you with the amenities and consideration you require to make your visit its most positive.
The Evergreen Hospital Medical Center campus provides a variety of activities for families. From our Gift Shop and espresso stands to our vibrant art and soothing garden areas, you are sure to find something to do while waiting for your patient.
Visiting Hours
Evergreen Hospital doesn't have set visiting hours, except in certain restricted areas, because our committment to patient and family-centered care welcomes visitors at any time based on patient preferences. Families are asked to check in at the Information Desks for patient room numbers and directions.
While it’s good common sense, it bears repeating – please do not visit patients if you yourself are sick with a cold, flu or anything else that could be contagious.
Parking
Convenient, free parking is located in both the Blue and Silver parking garages. The Blue garage is most convenient when visiting Evergreen Hospital Medical Center, the outpatient Evergreen Surgical Center, and programs and physician offices located in the Evergreen Professional Center and the Evergreen Surgery & Physicians Center. The Silver garage is most convenient to the Emergency Department and to patient rooms in the Silver zone.
Bicycle racks are available on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors of the Blue garage, near the elevators.
Surgery Waiting Areas
If you are with someone who is having surgery at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center, you will be asked to wait in the Surgery Waiting Area on the hospital’s third floor. The staff at the Surgery Information Desk will keep you informed, and your physician will meet or call you there when the surgery is over.
The outpatient Evergreen Surgical Center has its own Surgery Waiting Area, complete with a coffee bar and internet connection while you wait
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed inside any building on the Evergreen campus or within 25 feet of any building entrance. The single designated smoking patio is located outside of the Images Cafe in the hospital's Green zone.
