KIRKLAND, WA. – Evergreen Hospital Medical Center is currently recruiting volunteers to help shape health care services through its Community Advisor Program.
Community Advisors offer input to the Evergreen Board of Commissioners and Administration. They attend seven educational sessions throughout the year where they learn about health care issues facing the community and about Evergreen programs and services that address those issues. Additionally, they serve on internal Evergreen Hospital Medical Center task forces and committees and represent Evergreen Healthcare at regional community events.
There are a total of 36 Advisors. All are volunteers and serve three-year terms beginning in January. Qualifications include community involvement, professional and/or volunteer experience, strong interpersonal, oral and written skills and an interest in health care delivery.
Advisors are residents in the Evergreen Hospital Medical Center District, which encompasses Bothell, Duvall, Kenmore, Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish, Woodinville and portions of northeast, unincorporated King County.
Applications are available online or by calling 425.899.2664. Applications will be accepted through October 23.
