Michael A. Hunter, MD, is a radiation oncology physician who serves as the medical director of Evergreen’s Cancer Program and Cancer Research Program as well as director of Evergreen’s Institutional Review Board.
Dr. Hunter has been caring for patients at Evergreen since 1993 and is board certified in radiation oncology. As medical director of the Cancer Program at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center, Dr. Hunter’s mission is to harness the wealth of talent in the Evergreen medical community and create a premier cancer management experience for patients.
Dr. Hunter received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University. He attended medical school at Yale, and completed a residency in radiation oncology at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hunter has been the principal investigator in numerous research studies, has been widely published in various medical journals and is the coauthor of the bestselling The Little Book of Breast Cancer: A Self-Teaching Guide.
