DeYoung Pavilion to open in July 2009
The newest addition to the Evergreen Healthcare campus has been named the DeYoung Pavilion in recognition of longtime commissioner Al DeYoung, his wife, Donna, and their family.
Commissioner DeYoung was first elected to the Evergreen Board of Commissioners in 1980 and represents Bothell, Duvall and Woodinville. In addition to serving several terms as board president, Commissioner DeYoung was a founding member of the Evergreen Healthcare Foundation and continues to serve on its Board of Trustees. He and his family have been instrumental in helping Evergreen Healthcare grow and meet the needs of its community through countless hours of service and generous financial contributions.
The DeYoung Pavilion is a five-story building that will house a Sound Transit hub on the first floor, medical offices and ample underground parking. It will also be home to the Evergreen Neuroscience Institute, which will consolidate the services of the MS Center, the Booth Gardner Parkinson’s Care Center, the Movement Disorders Center and the Stroke Center under one roof.
A partnership between Evergreen, Sound Transit and the City of Kirkland, the DeYoung Pavilion is expected to open in July 2009.

Al and Donna DeYoung received a framed rendering of the building that will bear their name.
