Community Service Award
Each year since 1998, Evergreen's Board of Commissioners has recognized local individuals or organizations who have had a profound impact on enhancing the community's health with its annual Community Service Award. Honorees have included dedicated volunteers, health care activists and physicians.

The recipient of the 2007 Community Service Award is John Nipper of Evergreen Healthcare. John is being recognized for consistently going above and beyond the call of duty in assisting both Evergreen and the community with the scheduling and set-up of activities and health classes on the Evergreen campus. He never minds being called with questions, even during his off hours, and he always answers with a smile. As CEO Steve Brown attests, "He is truly exceptional."
