Services range from 24-hour nursing care to help with housework. Insurance coverage is very limited. In some situations, Medicaid may pay. Long term care insurance may cover costs. COPES: Community Options Program Entry System
A special Medicaid program that provides services to persons who meet the Medicaid requirements for nursing home care, but who do not want to go to a nursing home. COPES offers alternative care arrangements which may include care at home, at an adult family home, or in an assisted living facility.
