Physical, speech and occupational therapists are brought in anywhere along the spectrum of care – from the Emergency Department through to discharge.
The Acute Rehabilitation Unit, a 17-bed inpatient unit at Evergreen Hospital Medical Center, provides intensive rehabilitation for patients with orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, cognitively disabling conditions and functional impairments. The unit simulates the home environment, ensuring that patients return home with the rehabilitative training and family education necessary to deal with debilitating diseases.
