PHYSICAL
NEUROLOGICAL EXERCISE GROUP
Gentle stretch and strength exercises for patients affected by neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s, stroke and multiple sclerosis.
Four-week session begins Apr. 27, June 1, June 29, July 27, Aug. 24, Sept. 28, Oct. 26, Nov. 23, 12:45-1:45 p.m., $20 for each four-week session. [FLYER]
FROM THE GROUND UP: STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY
The exercises take place on the ground but they benefit you in all WALKS of life. Geared toward those with neurological disorders including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and post-stroke recovery this weekly mat-oriented class includes elements of yoga, tai chi, dumbbell exercise, exercise bands and more. Participants will be supplied with all of the necessary equipment including the exercise mat. Due to the nature of the class all participants must be able to get down to their mat and back to their feet again independently or at least with the assistance of their own caregiver.

MOVING WITH THE MUSIC
Class will include the use of music for deep breathing, warm ups, main activity, stretching/cool down and relaxation breathing along with question/comment time at the end.

DBS SUPPORT GROUP

WORKING ON WELLNESS! REINVENT THE WHEEL PROGRAM
As part of the wellness program at the Booth Gardner Parkinson’s Care Center, we will be offering a monthly Wellness Workshop. This workshop will utilize our wellness wheel and workbook as a guiding tool for defining and improving wellness for individual patients living with Parkinson’s disease. During the workshop you will clarify what wellness means to you, set goals and define steps to achieve these goals. In addition you will learn about resources that can support you in attaining wellness goals you set for yourself. Where there is wellness, there is hope. This FREE two-part series meets 10-11 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of two consecutive months.
