Through the collaborative effort of Evergreen Healthcare and the Northwest Parkinson's Foundation, four Washington governors are helping to spread hope and information about Parkinson’s disease in the Puget Sound region and beyond.
Governors Christine Gregoire (cousin), Gary Locke (mother), Dan Evans (brother), and Booth Gardener (himself) have all been personally touched by the disease. Evergreen’s Parkinson’s Center is named for Governor Gardner.
The group recently filmed a public service announcement that illustrates the prevalence of Parkinson’s (more than 30,000 Washington state residents have the disease) and provides a resource for patients and their families in the form of the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation and the Booth Gardner Parkinson's Care Center at Evergreen.
The PSA will begin airing on KING 5 and Northwest Cable News the week of June 11 and will continue through mid-August.
